A Digital Dns guide
DNS setup on Android
Set Android Private DNS with the dns.digitalvps.ir hostname instead of an IP, configure DoT and find the separate Wi-Fi DNS method
Android Private DNS hostname
dns.digitalvps.irSetup steps
On Android 9 or later, open the Settings app
Search Settings for Private DNS If it is not listed, check Network & Internet or Connections The path varies by manufacturer
Record the current setting and open Private DNS
Select Private DNS provider hostname
Enter only the hostname below This field does not accept IP addresses, https://, /dns-query or a port number:
DoTdns.digitalvps.irTap Save If Private DNS cannot connect or internet access stops, return to Automatic or your previous setting
This method uses DoT and does not require changing the network IP address or gateway Browser DNS, VPNs and some apps may use separate settings
Alternative IP method for Wi-Fi only
If your phone provides DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields, use this method for that Wi-Fi network It is standard DNS and does not enable DoT Do not put an IP in the Private DNS hostname field for mobile data or Wi-Fi If a custom Private DNS hostname is active, return it to Automatic first to use this network DNS
Open Settings and go to Wi-Fi
Select the connected network and open its settings or Edit / Modify network
Record your current IP address, gateway, network prefix length and other settings
If DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields are available, enter the addresses below
IPv4 · 1185.118.15.14IPv4 · 2185.118.15.15If DNS can only be changed in Static mode, preserve the real previous IP and gateway values Do not invent network values
Save the change It applies to that Wi-Fi network and does not configure mobile-data DNS
If the connection fails, restore DHCP or your previous IP settings
Check the connection and troubleshoot
Private DNS menu names and locations vary by manufacturer and Android version Search Settings for Private DNS if you cannot find the option Enter only dns.digitalvps.ir in the hostname field Do not put an IP address, port number or DoH URL in that field
If the hostname is correct but connection fails, the network or service may not accept DoT Restore Automatic or your previous setting and check again on another network Manual DNS for an individual Wi-Fi network uses the separate method in this guide
DoH and DoT settings
Use the full HTTPS URL in a DoH-compatible app or browser For Android Private DNS, enter only the DoT hostname without a port or https://
